John Woodward iNFiNiEN has the rare skill to make music that is intelligent, adventurous and emotional at the same time. They mix different styles and genres making their music sound very much their own. One band that has the same ability is Luciid from UK. Both true proggressive bands.

Eric Leikus So much to get enveloped in. Melodies, musicianship, lyrics combining and taking flight…

wafiii My 2022 AOTY! The perfect display of collaborative compositional and performance virtuosity. How these guys do this while still conveying beautiful melodies and chord progressions within complex musical structures carrying forward meaningful lyrics astounds me. And then there's the mystery of how vocalist Chrissie Loftus creates her melody lines and unique phrasing. Incredible. An album that I have had to hear EVERYDAY since I discovered it in October! Favorite track: Our Breath.

Ugly, uncomfortably unfit Unconsciousness, unknown universe Stardust silently shifting sounds and space Supernova skies synthesize shapes Wonder, wiser, we witness what’s whole within What will the wild winds wish Entirely elusive existential enigma eclipsed by ego Emotions emerge eager Enter the ether Experience what’s beyond the veil Curtains drawn wide, ignorance thrived Phantoms who never learned, self-involved, unconcerned Forgotten, burned Fictions we lived by, inferior insight, desperate to be right, proving only pride Unknowingly blind What’s beyond the veil? What’s beyond the veil? Forfeit or find forgiveness As the veil is lifted, perspective is shifted Our vision, unclouded Fractured fortress, back to life

Let’s go to a place with no people in sight Away from buildings and cars I just want to see stars Where trees and mountains scrape the sky A place with natural light and quiet Let’s go far away from the mannequin parade They go out every Saturday ornaments face paint Well there’s no battle no race just to cover the pain Let’s go far away from the mannequin parade Under all our clever disguises and all our lies Nature remains It’s in our eyes And culture’s stains can be erased But we have dense walls and habits to break Let’s go to inner space Let’s just close our eyes see how everything turns to light

One more day comfort get through Keep circling the hamster wheel to nowhere Robotic and vacant ignorant and numb I guess you think you’ve made it But beneath you, the world is crumbling down Get out of the clouds. No one can bear. What do you care. Wheel to nowhere. Wheel to nowhere. They privatize the earth. Pirates rob us of its worth. And before too long, they’ll be selling shares of the sun. Nihilists, short-sighted, their greed persists. Right back at the start again. Nihilists. good luck. See the truth that’s growing bigger, sweep it under the rug Fill up with mundane distractions until your time is up It’s not too late to take responsibility Instead you fool yourself hand’s been dealt How can we stop it? Anything for profit. Fool yourself. Hand’s been dealt. And I wonder how long can the insanity go on Until these dying dinosaurs are gone, we’ll be preparing for the new dawn Keep circling Wheel to nowhere And I wonder how long can the insanity go on Until these dying dinosaurs are gone, we’ll be preparing for the new dawn See the truth that’s growing bigger, sweep it under the rug

Our Breath 05:50
We disconnect from yesterday. Inner space realized once more. Wild, ancient winds sweep us away. Transport like never before. Warm drops of the sun and those of a storm, Our presence as one. Our breath flows on. Whisper without words. Inhale. The air keeps us floating. Exhale. Let everything go. Release whatever you’re holding. Steady the fingers and lungs. As we transform, enveloped in warmth, Without a need, without a missing piece. Silent soft shadows pour out of our mouths. Your pulse slows down. We’re figurines. We catch a glimpse of a place beyond time. We are rolling waves, flowing rays. Then a door appears, to a secret world, with and without space. Possibility, surrender. Tuck ourselves into the wind. Warm drops of the sun and those of a storm, Our presence as one. Our breath flows on. Unafraid of the consequence, if we never could breathe again. Passing on through eternity, morph into wind. Whisper. Transform enveloped in warmth. Transport like never before. Argon links past and future. Our breath flows on.

The Call 07:18
Tumbling through a tunnel full of cobwebs mildew wars Hanging by a thread whittling away no recourse A generation of underdogs not enough to go around A broken system forced upon us What we do is our choice now Weave your web We are the punchline to a running joke But the few who are laughing are running out of airtime We are the future with the ashes and smoke We are seeds in a garden as polluted as the ocean Calling out to recontextualize our lives inside our heads Calling you to reconstruct your sight to better weave your web No going back Everything connected Holding on here Who cut the cord who will move forward we know what to do Grateful criers awe-inspired knowing what we stand to gain Captives by the dying fires embers in the pouring rain Would we know if we heard the call Direction from a voice so small Who is really in charge here Unelected anonymous unimpeachable kings Embers in the pouring rain Who will move forward we know what to do No going back we are all connected Links on a chain holding on here Who cut the cord Calling out to reprioritize Calling out to those with open eyes Revisit revise Stumbling through their junkyard it’s up to us to rearrange Knowing what we stand to gain

Gratitude 06:22
In a moment of silence, realizing we have always had all that we need and the power to manifest dreams Completely enchanted. To be aware is to be free I don’t take this for granted, community So indebted to the forces that link you and me and for all the time we receive Bow my head, acknowledging this shared mystery Collective, as one we reap The magnitude. Our gratitude. We will do all we can do. Hosting this calm recognition. The air, so clear, see all there is to see. Visions foretell, needle and thread. Woven into the grain. Spinning into the silence, unusually familiar the taste. We’re erased as the memory fully awakes. Pulling out from the inside, we’re moving without figure or form To the rhythms in the patterns of shadows and light. Immeasurable distance, we cover in the blink of an eye. Nestled in the core, secure, the tranquility, The eye of the hurricane. The magnitude. Our gratitude. We will do all we can. Burdened by our distractions, cold and distant, our interactions. The inevitable regret. Deep reverence. Humbled to know and to feel and to give love like this. Hosting this calm. Recognize it. The air, so clear, see all there is to see. Visions foretell, needle and thread. Woven into the grain. Infinite thanks. Illuminate. This love we’ve made.
